    The Humantay Lake full-day tour begins early in the morning with pickup from your hotel in Cusco. We will travel to Mollepata, where you will enjoy breakfast before continuing through the Andes to Soraypampa, the starting point of the Humantay Lake hike.

    From Soraypampa, you will begin a scenic 1- to 2-hour ascent surrounded by snow-capped mountains, native vegetation and impressive views of the Salkantay mountain range. Upon reaching Humantay Lake in Peru, located at approximately 4,200 metres above sea level, you will be rewarded with magnificent views of its turquoise waters and dramatic Andean surroundings.

    You will have time to rest, take photographs and enjoy the peaceful mountain scenery before hiking back to Soraypampa. We will then return to Mollepata for lunch and continue our journey back to Cusco, arriving in the early evening.

    We begin the Humantay Lake Full-Day Tour with hotel pick-up between 4:30 and 4:45 a.m., followed by a journey of approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes to the town of Mollepata, one of the classic stops on trips to Cusco that combine nature and adventure. There, we will take a break to enjoy breakfast.

    Afterwards, we continue our journey for another 1 hour and 30 minutes to Soraypampa, passing through spectacular landscapes dominated by the imposing Salkantay Mountain. From this key point of the Salkantay route, we will begin the hike to Humantay Lake, a trek of 1 to 2 hours while enjoying panoramic views of snow-capped mountains, a wide variety of flora and fauna, and a truly breathtaking natural environment.

    Upon arrival at Humantay Lake (4,200 m.a.s.l.), we will be amazed by the intense turquoise color of its waters, formed by the melting snow of the Andean range. Here, we will have time to rest, take photos, and connect with nature.

    After exploring Humantay Lake, we will descend on foot back to Soraypampa, where our transport will be waiting to take us back to Mollepata for lunch at a local restaurant.

Local residents from the Soraypampa community offer horse rental services at the starting point of the hike to Humantay Lake. This service is available only for the uphill section of the trek.

The cost is approximately 90 Peruvian soles (around 30 US dollars), although the price is negotiable depending on demand and agreements made on-site.

The tour has an approximate duration of 12 to 14 hours. It starts early in the morning, around 4:30 a.m., with pick-up from your hotel, and ends between 6:00 and 6:30 p.m. upon return to Cusco.
