FAQ

FAQ

Rainbow Valley is located in the Río Grande basin, about 90 km from San Pedro de Atacama, very close to the Yerbas Buenas petroglyphs.

It gets its name from the wide variety of tones that can be seen in the valley’s hills; earth colors, reds, beige, green, white, and yellow, combined with the white salts and the blue sky, all blending into unusual formations.

These colors reflect the rich diversity and different concentrations of clay, salts, and minerals, as well as interesting rock formations shaped by erosion.
