Breakfast at the hotel.
After a light breakfast at the hotel in Aguas Calientes, the journey begins for a well-organized and complete experience of Machu Picchu.
At the previously coordinated time, we head to the bus station to begin the ascent to the citadel via the official route. The winding road through the high jungle and mist-covered mountains builds anticipation for the unique experience ahead.
Upon arrival at the entrance of the Historic Sanctuary, tickets and documents are checked. We then begin a guided tour through the main archaeological sectors, including the viewpoint, the Temple of the Three Windows, the Intihuatana, the Main Square, and other important ceremonial and residential areas. Throughout the visit, the guide provides clear and detailed explanations about the history, architecture, and spiritual significance of this Inca heritage site, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Optionally, visitors may hike Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain (subject to availability and additional cost), offering a more adventurous experience with stunning panoramic views of the archaeological complex.
After the visit, we descend by bus to Aguas Calientes, where you will have free time for lunch, rest, or exploring the town, visiting the local market or strolling through its streets.
In the afternoon, we board the train back to Ollantaytambo (approx. 1 hour and 45 minutes). Upon arrival, our representative will be waiting to transfer you back to Cusco.
