  1. Day 01

    Cusco – Huchuy Qosqo – Aguas Calientes

    Begin the experience with a hike from the Andean community of Patabamba, crossing high-altitude landscapes, lagoons and traditional villages while enjoying views of mountains such as Veronica, Pitusiray and Chicon.

    The trail leads to Huchuy Qosqo, an important Inca archaeological site overlooking the Sacred Valley. Here, enjoy a box lunch and a guided visit to discover its terraces, stone structures and historical significance.

    Afterwards, descend toward Lamay and continue by tourist transportation to Ollantaytambo. Following dinner, board the train to Aguas Calientes.

  2. Day 02

    Machu Picchu – Cusco

    After breakfast, take the bus to Machu Picchu for a guided tour of its main archaeological areas, including agricultural terraces, temples, palaces and ceremonial structures.

    Following the visit, enjoy time to admire the scenery and take photographs. The hike to Huayna Picchu Mountain may be added as an optional activity, subject to ticket availability.

    Finally, return to Aguas Calientes and board the train to Ollantaytambo. From there, continue by tourist transportation back to Cusco.

    We will begin with hotel pick-up at 6:00 a.m.

    We will leave the city of Cusco and head to the village of Patabamba, located at 3,870 m.a.s.l., where we will start the hike.

    Along the route, we will pass the Llaulliqocha lagoon (3,800 m.a.s.l.) and the village of Pumamarka, from where we can enjoy stunning views of major snow-capped peaks such as Veronica, Pitusiray, Chicón, and San Juan.

    Upon arrival at Huchuy Qosqo, we will enjoy a box lunch and a guided visit to the archaeological complex of Huchuy Qosqo. The main attraction of this trek is the archaeological site of Huchuy Qosqo, which means “Little Cusco.” It is located near the Sacred Valley, above the town of Lamay (Calca).

    From here, we continue our descent into the Sacred Valley toward the village of Lamay, where our transport will be waiting to take us to Ollantaytambo for dinner.

    From Ollantaytambo, we will continue by train to the town of Aguas Calientes (2,050 m.a.s.l.).

    Breakfast at the hotel.

    At the scheduled time, we will meet with the guide and take the 25-minute bus ride to the citadel of Machu Picchu (2,450 m.a.s.l.).

    At the site, we will visit the agricultural terraces, palaces, the Temple of the Three Windows, the Intihuatana, and more. Afterward, you will have free time to take photos or hike Huayna Picchu Mountain (optional), where you can enjoy the best views of Machu Picchu and its surroundings.

    After enjoying the tranquility of Machu Picchu, we will return by bus to the town of Aguas Calientes for lunch, and finally take the return train followed by our transport back to the city of Cusco.
