A representative from our travel agency will welcome you at the Iquitos International Airport and assist you with the transfer to our office.

There, you will receive a brief introduction about the itinerary, the included services, and essential recommendations to enjoy the Amazon rainforest without any issues.

After a short wait, we will transfer you to the Nanay Pier, where you will board a typical boat called a Pamacari, or a speedboat depending on the season.

During the journey, we will visit Fundo Pedrito, home to the Victoria Regia, the largest aquatic plant in the Amazon. You will also see and feed paiche fish, caimans, and piranhas.

Upon arrival at the lodge, you will be welcomed with a refreshing natural drink and receive a short orientation before settling into your room.

After lunch, we will begin a 2-hour ethnobotanical walk with expert guides. We will identify medicinal plants such as cat’s claw, dragon’s blood, and copaiba oil, as well as giant trees like the Lupuna, also known as Ceiba Pentandra.

During the walk, we will listen to different birds, including the Rinahui and the Tihuacuro, which inhabit the surroundings of Yanayacu.

After dinner, we will take a night boat ride along José Caño Creek. We will immerse ourselves in the magical sounds of the rainforest and, under the moonlight, admire the constellations.

You will be able to taste exotic regional drinks made with sugarcane liquor and molasses. If you wish, you may purchase bottles as a souvenir from your trip.

Just ten minutes from the village, you will find the majestic Amazon River, where you can swim in its warm waters and admire the incredible landscape.

We will return to the lodge for our farewell lunch. Then, we will check out and depart for the Yagua community, where you will discover their ancestral customs.
