1. Day 01

   Puno – Uros Floating Islands – Taquile Island – Overnight on a Floating Island

   Begin this two-day Lake Titicaca experience with a boat journey from Puno to the Uros Floating Islands. During the visit, learn how local families build their islands, homes and traditional boats from totora reeds while discovering their ancestral customs and unique way of life on the lake.

   Continue to Taquile Island, renowned for its traditional textiles and panoramic landscapes. Walk along its ancient paths, enjoy a traditional lunch and learn about the cultural meaning behind the textiles created by local artisans.

   After visiting Taquile, return to the Uros Islands for a cultural homestay experience and spend the night in a traditional lodge built on a floating island.

2. Day 2

   Sunrise on the Uros Islands – Return to Puno

   Wake up surrounded by the peaceful waters of Lake Titicaca and enjoy sunrise over the Andean highlands. Afterward, share a traditional breakfast prepared with local ingredients and spend additional time with your host community.

   Say goodbye to your local hosts and begin the boat journey back to Puno. Arrival is expected at approximately 11:00 a.m., although the return time may be coordinated depending on the service.

  DAY 1Puno – Uros Islands – Taquile Island – Overnight Stay on a Floating Island

  Breakfast at the Hotel

  Your adventure on Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world, begins in Puno, the gateway to this natural treasure of Peru. Our team will pick you up and take you by boat toward the legendary reed islands.

  Here, you will witness the incredible skill of the local inhabitants who build the Uros Floating Islands using totora, an aquatic plant that grows naturally in the lake. During the guided tour of the Uros Islands, you will meet the Uros communities and learn about their ancestral customs, Lake Titicaca handicrafts, and their unique way of life on these sacred waters.

  The locals will show you the fascinating technique used to build these artificial islands of Lake Titicaca. You will also have the unique opportunity to sail on traditional totora reed boats, experiencing the same means of transportation used for generations.

  We will continue our journey across the crystal-clear waters of Lake Titicaca, shared by Peru and Bolivia, toward Taquile Island in Puno. This island is world-famous for its deep Andean cultural heritage and high-quality traditional textiles, recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage.

  During the scenic boat ride, you will admire the spectacular landscapes that make tourism in Puno such a unique experience. Upon arrival in Taquile, you will enjoy a walk along ancestral paths that wind through the island, offering impressive views of the highest navigable lake in the world.

  You will visit the Taquile communities, where local residents will show you their ancient Andean textile techniques. Each design carries symbolism and tradition passed down from generation to generation.

  Afterward, you will enjoy a typical lunch in Taquile at a local restaurant, where you will taste the famous Lake Titicaca trout, a fresh regional delicacy prepared with traditional recipes that combine local ingredients with ancestral culinary techniques.

  During the meal, you will be able to observe Taquile textile demonstrations, where local artisans will explain the meaning of each color and pattern in their creations.

  You will have free time to explore the island, visit the Taquile viewpoint with panoramic views of the lake, and purchase Lake Titicaca souvenirs directly from the artisans, supporting sustainable community-based tourism.

  At sunset, you will head to one of the floating islands specially prepared for experiential tourism.

  DAY 2Sunrise on the Floating Island – Return to Puno

  Your second day will begin with a magical experience: sunrise on Lake Titicaca. Waking up on the sacred waters of the highest navigable lake in the world is an experience that few visitors have the chance to enjoy.

  As you watch the first rays of sunlight illuminate the surrounding mountains and reflect on the crystal-clear waters, you will understand why Lake Titicaca was considered sacred by pre-Inca cultures.

  You will enjoy a traditional breakfast prepared by your host family with fresh local products, including quinoa, native potatoes, and other typical ingredients from the highland region.

  This will be your last opportunity to capture unique photographs of the Uros Islands and the incomparable landscapes of the lake, as well as to interact with the members of the Uros community who welcomed you during this authentic experiential travel experience.

  After a heartfelt ceremonial farewell from the Uros community that hosted you as part of their family during this special night, you will begin the boat journey back to the port of Puno.

  Arrival in Puno is scheduled for approximately 11:00 a.m., or at the time you prefer.
