    Lima Food Tour and Cooking Class Overview

    Discover the flavors, ingredients and culinary traditions of Peru on our Lima Food Tour and Cooking Class. This immersive experience combines a visit to a traditional local market, a tasting of exotic Peruvian fruits, a hands-on cooking class and lunch overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

    The experience begins at 10:00 a.m. with pickup from your hotel in Lima. Our first stop is a traditional Peruvian market, where you will discover the fresh ingredients used to prepare some of the country’s most famous dishes and desserts.

    During the Lima local market tour, you will explore colorful fruit stalls and learn about native products such as cherimoya, lúcuma, goldenberries and pacae. You will also see the wide variety of fresh fish and seafood that plays an essential role in Lima’s renowned culinary scene.

    We will then continue to a restaurant for a Peruvian cooking class in Lima led by a professional chef. During this hands-on experience, you will learn how to prepare authentic Peruvian ceviche and discover the techniques behind one of the country’s most iconic dishes.

    The experience also includes a demonstration of how the traditional pisco sour is prepared. A non-alcoholic alternative can be arranged for guests who do not consume alcohol.

    After the class, you will enjoy lunch at a restaurant with beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean. The menu features a selection of traditional Peruvian dishes and desserts, allowing you to experience the variety of Lima’s gastronomy.

    At the end of this Lima market tour and cooking class, you will receive a participation certificate, the complete ceviche recipe and a souvenir photo with the chef.

    Peruvian Fruit Tasting

    We will enjoy breakfast and taste unique fruits such as cherimoya, lúcuma, goldenberry, and pacae. We will also have the opportunity to discover the great variety of seafood Peru offers through a wide range of dishes, reflecting the richness of Lima’s cuisine.

    Peruvian Cooking Class

    We will continue to a restaurant where the chef will offer a hands-on class on the preparation of ceviche and pisco sour, two emblems of Lima’s gastronomy.

    Lunch with a View of the Pacific Ocean

    At the end of the class, we will enjoy lunch at a renowned restaurant with views of the Pacific Ocean. This lunch will allow you to savor a wide variety of traditional dishes and desserts from Lima’s cuisine.
