What to know before booking

Open each question to learn about permits, requirements and confirming your trip.

How does permit availability work?

To protect the route and the environment, the government limits daily permits to 500 people, including guides, porters and travelers. This limit is strictly supervised by Peru's Ministry of Culture.

Which months have the highest demand?
  • High season (May to September): spaces sell out quickly because of ideal weather conditions.
  • Low season (October to April): demand is lower, but February is fully closed for maintenance.
How early should I book and what do I need?

Permits often sell out 6 months in advance, especially for the most popular months. To book, we need:

  • Valid original passport or identity document
  • Phone number
  • International travel insurance
When and how do I pay?
  • You can indicate whether you would prefer to pay a 50% deposit or the full amount later.
  • This selection is informational: it does not charge you or confirm the booking.
  • An agent checks the current price and availability again.
  • The team contacts you to resolve any details.
  • You then receive payment instructions or a payment link through a separate channel.
What happens after I submit my request?

When you submit the pre-booking, our agents receive a PDF quote with passenger details, the selected date, checked availability, and your preferred amount.

Does pre-booking guarantee my place?

A pre-booking does not guarantee a place. The booking is confirmed only after the agency validates payment and issues the corresponding official permit.
