Weather in Humantay Lake

Lake Humantay’s climate has two well-defined seasons throughout the year: the dry season begins in April and ends in October, with a temperature of between -5 °C and 17 °C that varies throughout the day.

The rainy season begins in November and ends in March, with a temperature of between -7 °C and 10 °C, with cloudy, rainy days and some snow along the way.

How to get to the Humantay Lake in Peru?

To reach the Humantay Lake in Peru from the city of Cusco, you must follow a journey by car of approximately 120 kilometres, passing by the Limatambo and Mollepata village until the ‘Soraypampa’ community.

The best known way to get to this lagoon is the Salkantay Trek, which also takes you to Salkantay Mountain and Machu Picchu.
