Feast of San Juan:
The Feast of San Juan, celebrated on June 24 in the Amazon region, is one of the most important festivals in the Peruvian jungle. Especially popular in Iquitos, this festival combines religious devotion with indigenous traditions, such as the consumption of juane, a typical dish of rice and chicken wrapped in leaves.
Patron saint festival:
Patron saint festivals are celebrations held in honor of a patron saint. These celebrations follow the traditions of each place and are held on a specific date. Patron saint festivals are a clear example of cultural fusion, as they include Catholic saints and ancient local traditions, creating a festive atmosphere for the population.
