Itinerary
Day 1: Iquitos – Lodge
We will pick you up from the airport and will board a boat at approximately 9:30 AM to drive up to the Lodge.
After we arrive you will have tasty lunch. In the afternoon, you go for a walk around the surroundings, to identify the flora and birds that we are looking for.
Dinner.
Overnight in the Lodge.
Day 2: Lodge Yanayacu River
Early morning tour expedition to a remote forest to see the now famous Piurí (Crax globulosa). Return to the Lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, a boat ride on the Yanayacu River, in search of more different species of birds. Sunset in a Lagoon. Dinner.
At night, you will have a tour excursion to see nocturnal birds.
Overnight at Lodge.
Day 3: Corrientillo Lodge
We will have Breakfast and if the water level allows it, you will have a long walk. Here you can see not only birds, but also insects, a variety of monkeys, and colorful butterflies, and if you are lucky, you may see an anaconda crossing the road. Return to the Lodge to have our lunch.
Canoe tour excursion to Laguna Corrientillo, to look and see other birds. Dinner.
At night, you will have a night walk.
Overnight at Lodge.
Day 4: Lodge – Iquitos
You will have an early morning tour excursion to visit the islands of the Amazon and observe endemic birds. Breakfast on the boat. Then you continue on the other side of the Amazon River, to see birds of the high jungle.
Swim in the same place where the pink and gray dolphins are. Observation of the largest aquatic plant in the world, the Victoria Regia.
Lunch. Transfer to Iquitos and land transfer to hotel or airport.

Iquitos
Also known as the capital of the Peruvian Amazon, Iquitos is the largest metropolis in the Peruvian jungle, as well as a very important river port.
