Itinerary
Sacred Valley of the Incas Tour
From 7:30 AM to 8:00 AM, we will pick you up from your respective hotel to start our tour of the Sacred Valley.
Then, we will travel in our tourist transportation to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, where our first stop will be the Inca ruins of Pisac.
Notably, this archaeological complex is one of the most prominent ruins in the Sacred Valley, as it is situated right on a mountain slope. As a result, the Incas had a strategically well-positioned vantage point from which to exercise their domination.Thus, explore the many terraces and architectural wonders that rise up to the highest mountain peak and colonize dazzling mountain cliffs.
Lunch
After the visit, we will continue along the road passing by the towns of Ccoya, Lamay, Calca, and Urubamba, until we will have a delicious lunch buffet in one of the local restaurants.
After a good lunch and some time to relax, we will continue to visit the archeological complex of Ollantaytambo. Our guide will explain to you its historical importance with respect to its military, religious and cultural functions during the Inca Empire, whilst he will be at your disposal to answer all your questions.
On the way back to Cusco, we will visit the picturesque town of Chinchero, where the remains of the royal estate of Tupac Inca Yupanqui are located. Moreover, this charming town is known for its traditional weaving workshops and stunning views of the Andean landscape, making it a perfect final stop on our journey. You will be able to admire the last conserved parts of the old Inca wall on the main square and visit the beautiful colonial temple that was constructed on top of the Inca foundations, with its beautiful and intriguing frescoes on the balcony.
Finally, we will return to Cusco arriving at approximately 6:30 PM.

Climate in the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
The climate in the Sacred Valley of the Incas is temperate and depends on the season. As you travel through the different villages, the cold and heat gradually decrease or increase.
Generally, the dry season — also known as the drought — runs from April to October, and it is highly recommended to visit the Sacred Valley during this period. During these months, temperatures range between 23ºC and 3ºC.
On the other hand, the rainy season extends from November to March. In this case, temperatures vary from 21ºC to 6ºC.
Where is the Sacred Valley of the Incas located?
The Sacred Valley of the Incas is located in the province of Urubamba, in Cusco – Peru. It is about 15 km (9.3 mi) northeast of the city of Cusco.
First of all, you can reach it by a paved road from the city. Then, a drive through one of the nearby villages usually takes about 40 minutes. As a result, it’s easily accessible and perfect for a day trip or a longer stay.

Moray is located 74 kilometers from the city of Cusco and is home to the famous Inca circular terraces. This unique site features a set of concentric circular terraces that gives the sensation of being an artificial crater.
In fact, Moray was one of the main agricultural research centers of the Inca Empire. It was specifically dedicated to the experimentation and cultivation of crops from different regions.
