On this trip tour, you will live new experiences entering San Pedro de Atacama and visiting the Salar de Uyuni.
San Pedro de Atacama is a Chilean town, located in the province of El Loa, in the Antofagasta Region, it has this name because it borders the Atacama river San Pedro de Atacama. This town is the entrance to one of the largest Deserts in the World. Some of the highest peaks of the Andes Mountains are located here.
The Salar de Uyuni is the largest salt mine in the world, it is located in the department of Potosí in Southeast Bolivia near the crest of the Andes Mountains.

Itinerary
Day 1: San Pedro de Atacama – White Lagoon & Green & Colorado – San Pedro of Quemez.
We start our tour at 08:00 Hrs. We go to cross the Paso del Cajón located 60 km from San Pedro de Atacama. Upon reaching Hito Cajón, then we head to the White, Green and Red Lagoons. On the way, we will see the impressive Licancabur Volcano that at its feet we find the lagoons. Here we will make a stop to observe the flamingos in the white lagoon and observe the color change of the green lagoon. Then we continue along the route through the Dali Desert, where we go to pass through the Polques Hot Springs to enjoy its warm waters.
So, we will continue our journey through the “Sun of the Morning-Sol de la Manaña” a volcanic area covered by geothermal gases and lava where at the end of this tour, we will arrive at the Colorada Lagoon, that is located at 4,100 meters above sea level. This lagoon is the largest Flamingo reserve in Bolivia (30,000 of 3 different species), this place has a large amount of red microorganisms, which color the water and give it its name.
Then, we pass through the Siloli Desert from where you can see the “Stone Tree”. After lunch, we will pass through smaller lagoons such as: Honda, Chiarkota, Hedionda and Cañapa; We will also pass through the Ollague Volcano Viewpoint and Salar Chiguana until we reach San Pedro de Quemez. Dinner awaits us there.

Day 2: San Pedro of Quemez – Salar de Uyuni – Colchani.
Breakfast at the Hotel. Then, we go to start our adventure visiting the town of San Pedro de Quemez, located next to the Hotel de Piedra. Then we will Pass through the Bay of Mala – Mala, Cueva de las Galaxias and Cueva del Diablo. On the way to Aguaquiza we will make a stop at the Museum of Chantani, Las Momias de Coqueza and then we will enter the impressive Salar de Uyuni, the highest and largest in the world. Offering spectacular landscapes being a unique place for visitors.
So, then we go to Incawasi Island, where we will walk to the top to admire the Salar. Along the way we can see the “Old Cactus” that grows about 1 cm a year in addition to the Petrified Corals. From the top of the island we can also see the Fish Island named for its fish shape. After Lunch, we go to Colchani, then we go to Hotel and watch the sunset and enjoy our dinner.
Overnight in Colchani.
Day 3: Colchani – Uyuni – Colchani – Ojos de Perdiz.
Breakfast at the Hotel. Then we go in the direction of the Salar de Uyuni, where we can see the process of the Iodized Salt, the Salar and the Museums of Uyuni. Then we continue to the Train Cemetery and San Cristóbal, where we will visit the Colonial Church, Villa Alota, Valle de las Rocas and Ojos de Perdiz. Here you will have the Dinner.
Overnight at Ojos de Perdiz.
Day 4: San Pedro of Quemez – Hito Cajón – San Pedro of Atacama.
Breakfast at the Hotel. Then we go to the Siloli Desert, where we can admire the Morning Sun-Sol de la Mañaña, which is a volcanic area, the Red Lagoon and the White Lagoon. Then, we go to pass through the Hito Cajón in direction to San Pedro of Atacama.
Important: The hours of the excursions will be reconfirmed at the destination. For the development of this program a minimum of 2 Pax is required.
Important information
Regarding the rainy season (January to March) the end of tour, can be considerably delayed, so it is advisable not to take any transport or flight to another place for the same day.
The itinerary may vary in adverse weather conditions or due to force majeure to guarantee the safety of travelers, the visit to Incahuasi is usually replaced by the view of the sunset in the salt flat. This change of itinerary usually takes place between the months of March to December.
So, the order of the visits could be altered, but it will not affect the content of the program. The schedules of the entrances and transports could be subject to modifications.

Padre Le Paige Archaeological Museum: The R. P. Gustavo Le Paige Archaeological Museum is located in the commune of San Pedro de Atacama, in the II Region of Antofagasta, Chile. This museum belongs to the Universidad Católica del Norte
Aldea de Tulor: the village of Tulor is one of the oldest archaeological centers in northern Chile, which has millenary constructions made of clay. The Tulor Village is at least 2,300 years old, a time when the San Pedro River naturally watered the land.

Tatio Geysers: El Tatio is a field of geysers located in the Andean mountains of northern Chile, in the Antofagasta Region, at about 4200 meters above sea level. It is the largest group of geysers in the southern hemisphere and the third largest in the world, after Yellowstone and Kronotski Nature Reserve, whose fumaroles create impressive plumes of steam that can be seen between 6 and 7 in the morning.
