Itinerary
Day 01: Uyuni – Train Cemetery – Incawasi – Villa Candelaria (A – C).
We begin our visit in the train cemetery, where the first locomotives that arrived in the 18th century in Bolivia to transport minerals between Pulacayo and Antofagasta. Then, we continue our visit to the great Salar de Tunupa, our next stop is the town of Colchani, where the natives, locals sell salt crafts and make demonstrations about the processing of Salt.
Then we entered in the same salt flat, which is the largest white lake in the world with approximately 10,500 km2. Then our visit continues to the Ojos de Sal, Pyramids of Salt, formerly the Hotel de Sal.
We go to arrive at the Incawasi Island, which is a true Oasis in the middle of the Salt Desert, there you can take a walk, after that we make the registration and payment, through this unique Island of Cactus. Then, we go to our first place to stay the night, which is in the Candelaria village.

Day 2: Ollague Volcano Lookout – Altiplanic Lagoons – Stone Tree – Lagoon
Colorada – Huayllajara (B – L – D – C)
After breakfast we will go to the Ollague Volcano Viewpoint, this is an active volcano located between the countries of Bolivia and Chile. We continue our trip and head towards the Altiplanic Lagoons where we will observe the first flamingos.
We pass by the Kañapa, Hedionda and Honda Lagoons. Our trip goes through passes, we cross the Siloli Desert, where the natural monument called: “Stone Tree” is located.
After taking beautiful pictures, we continue to the viewpoint of the Laguna Colorada, after registering in the Avaroa National Park, we go to the viewpoint to observe the thousands of flamingos that nest in this beautiful lagoon. Our next stop is in Huayllajara.
Overnight in the town of Huayllajara.
Day 3: Fumarolas – Hot springs – Red Laggon – San Cristóbal – Uyuni (D – A)
This day we get up earlier to see the fumaroles, that are active earlier, it is also the highest point of our trip 4,900 meters above sea level. Then we go to the hot springs of Polkes, if you want to take a refreshing and therapeutic bath here is possible. Then we go to our southernmost point of our trip, the Laguna Verde-Green Lagoon, which is located in front of the Licancabur Volcano.
Our return, we will take a faster route passing through rural villages, such as San Cristóbal, a model mining town. Arrival in Uyuni.
Important: The hours of the toues excursions will be reconfirmed at the destination.
To visit the Salar de Uyuni: it is best between the months of January – March our visit to Incawasi Island is conditional depending, weather, the rain that falls in the place.

Where is the Salar de Uyuni located?
The Salar de Uyuni is the largest and high salt desert in the world, with an area of 10 582 km². It is located at about 3,650 meters above sea level in the southwest of Bolivia, in the Daniel Campos province, in the department of Potosí, within the highland region of the Andes Mountain.

The weather, climate in the Salar de Uyuni is desert, and the temperature doesn’t change much throughout the year, rainfall during the year.
The average annual temperature in Uyuni is 10.1 ° C. The approximate average rainfall is 124 mm.
In winter there are the lowest temperatures and the region is usually cold, dry and very windy.
What is the best time to visit the Salar de Uyuni?
Late April is the perfect time to visit Uyuni, as you can see both the dry salt desert and the giant mirror effect. It is not as cold as in winter and rainfall is limited.
How many days is it advisable to be in Uyuni?
