Breakfast at the Hotel. Our Travel Agency Representative Will Pick You Up From Your Hotel At Approximately 7:00 A.M. We Will Begin This Adventure By Heading To The Town Of Chinchero, Where We Will Visit A Textile Center (Awana), Where They Will Explain The Traditional Textile-Making Process.
Then We Continue To The Archaeological Site Of Chinchero, Where The Official Tour Guide Will Give A Brief Explanation Of Its Function During Inca Times. Continuing The Tour, We Will Make A Short Stop At The Raqchi Viewpoint, Where You Can Appreciate Part Of The Sacred Valley Of The Incas And Take Photos.
Next, We Head To The Maras Salt Mines, Where We Can Observe The Natural Salt Formations With More Than 3,000 Pools Currently Worked By The Community. The Next Stop Is The Moray Archaeological Site, Known As The Inca Agricultural Experimentation Center, Admired For Its Impressive Circular Terraces.
After This Beautiful Cultural And Natural Tour, We Will Head To The Mullaka Misminay Community Around 2:00 P.M. Upon Arrival, We Will Be Warmly Welcomed With Music, Dances, And Traditional Clothing From The Community Members. We Will Enjoy A Typical Lunch In A House Prepared For Our Visitors, Followed By A Short Rest.
Activity 01: Textile Making Demonstration
Experience The Ancestral Process Of Andean Textile Production, Made With Sheep Wool Dyed Using Plants, Minerals, And Natural Ingredients Under A System Called “Away,” Using Handmade Tools Such As Small Wooden Boards And Animal Bones Crafted By The Local People.
At 5:00 P.M., We Will Say Goodbye To The Mullaka Misminay Community And Return To The City Of Cusco.
