We will begin our journey to the Altiplano at sunrise, heading toward one of the worldâs most renowned geothermal fields, the âTatio Geysers.â Surrounded by clouds of steam and warm water vapor, you will witness the breathtaking beauty of the Andes Mountains.
On the way back to San Pedro de Atacama, you will have the opportunity to admire a wide variety of Andean wildlife, including vicuñas, llamas, rheas, and vizcachas. As for the local flora, you will see giant cacti, llaretas, and coirón grasses decorating the landscape.
From a scenic viewpoint, we will observe the small ancestral village of Machuca, whose inhabitants are mainly dedicated to livestock farming and traditional cheese production.
Very close by is the Salada Lagoon, home to a great variety of flamingos, ducks, and seagulls, all surrounded by truly stunning scenery.
Our estimated arrival back in San Pedro de Atacama is at 2:00 p.m.
