Our tour begins with pick-up from your hotel at around 7:45 a.m. You will then be transferred to El Chaco Pier, where you will board a speedboat toward the Paracas Reserve area.
During the boat ride, we will stop to admire the mysterious Candelabra geoglyph, an impressive figure carved into a hillside in the Bay of Paracas. No one knows for sure who created it or why. In fact, there are several theories about its origin. Some believe it may be connected to the Nazca Lines, located about 70 miles away.
Others suggest it may have been used by ancient sailors or pirates as a reference point to navigate through the dense coastal fog. Our captain will stop in front of the figure, and our local guide will provide an explanation.
Afterward, we will continue toward the Ballestas Islands. Once we arrive, visitors will enjoy an impressive marine landscape filled with seabirds and sea lions. We will travel by boat around the islands, passing caves, rock formations, and areas where many aquatic species can be observed.
Due to the semi-tropical coastal climate, it can feel warm, so we recommend bringing sunscreen and a cap or hat to protect yourself from the sun.
After visiting the islands, we will return by boat to El Chaco Pier.
