He first hit the fashion scene when Diana Vreeland asked him to create clothing for a desert location shoot that starred Verushka in 1968. This shoot was legendary and his clothing were instantly sought out by all the most fashionable women on the planet. This unique watercolor tie-dye floral print chiffon bohemian beauty is a perfect example of his genius. The over-sized pointy bodice applique is made of a rich sienna brown leather suede which works so well with the chiffon. I love the easy-to-wear wrap style and matching sash belt. The striking angel-sleeves, which cleverly mirror the pointed collar design, give this garment such a playful vibe.
