ITINERARY

DAY 01: LIMA

Reception at the Lima Airport and Transfer to the Hotel by a Representative of Our Travel Agency. Rest of the day is free.

DAY 02: LIMA – CITY TOUR

Breakfast at the hotel.

ANCESTRAL LIMA; We begin our tour with a view in the Miraflores District with a panoramic view of the “Pucllana Pyramid”, magnificent Pre – Inka ceremonial center built in the 4th century Bc. That has survived the urban expansion of Lima. Then we go to the Parque del Amor on the Malecón de Miraflores where we will observe the Pacific Ocean, passing through the Parque Olivar San Isidro.

COLONIAL LIMA; We visit the Historic Center of Lima, where you will appreciate more than fifty monuments and colonial buildings, highlighting the Republic Walk, the San Martín Square where a brief explanation of all the events occurred, the Main Square, the Government Palace, the Archbishop’s Palace, the Cathedral Basilica, the Municipal Palace among others. We will enter one of the Convents considered the most important of the 17th century the San Francisco Convent. We will visit the old Library, the Choir, the Main Cloister and the underground crypts known as Catacombs. At the end of our tour you will have the option of staying in the Indian market, in Larcomar or returning to your hotel.

DAY 03: LIMA – PARACAS – PARACAS NATIONAL RESERVE

Breakfast at the hotel.

05:40 am. Transfer to the bus station of Cruz del Sur.

06:40 am. Departure to the City of Paracas by Tourist Bus.

10:40 am. Arrival to the city of Paracas, reception and transfer.

11:00 am. Visit to the Paracas Reserve.

This is a huge protected area located south west of the City of Pisco. The name of this beautiful place is derived from a Quechua word that means “sand rain” probably due to the strong winds whipping in the evenings in this place. The Paracas Reserve is also very important as abundant quantities of zooplankton and phytoplankton inhabit its waters, which allows a variety of fish that allow industrial and artisanal fishing. This is a very important activity in the town of Pisco. The Paracas Reserve is located in an area of ​​335,000 hectares and is considered one of the most important ecosystems on the planet. During our visit we can appreciate the beautiful cliffs and beaches along this tour (Red Beach, Yumaque Beach, Lagunilla). We can also appreciate groups of flamingos feeding by the sea. To be able to appreciate these beautiful birds better, it will be necessary to make a small walk towards a small viewpoint from which you will be able to appreciate them more closely. DAY 04: PARACAS – ICA – BALLESTAS ISLANDS – CITY TOUR ICA

Breakfast at the hotel.

07:45 Hrs. Transfer to the pier.

08:00 Hrs. Departure by boat to the Ballestas Islands. Excursion to the Paracas Peninsula, the most important wildlife sanctuary of the Peruvian Coast. Motor boat ride to the Ballestas Islands, in the Paracas National Reserve, where we will have the opportunity to see the “Candelabro”, a giant figure in the style of the Nazca Lines made in the sand. Also, observe sea lions, silly birds, pelicans, penguins and other seabirds. Return to the pier. Approximate duration 2 Hrs.

10:45 hrs. Departure to Ica by Tourist Bus.

12:10 Hrs. Arrival to the city of Ica and transfer to begin our tour. Panoramic City Tour to the City of Ica we will have the following visits: The Cathedral of the city of Ica, some winemakers in the area and La Laguna de la Huacachina is a traditional resting place for locals, the Lagoon looks like an Oasis in the middle of the desert, formed a splendid landscape of palm dunes and huarangos. DAY 05: ICA – NAZCA – AREQUIPA

09:00 am Departure to the City of Nazca by Tourist Bus.

11:15 am Arrival to the City of Nazca and transfer to the airfield where we will have an introductory video of the Nazca Lines.

FLIGHT TO THE NAZCA LINES: At the 11:30 am. We will board a plane that will fly over the mysterious Nazca Lines; huge linear drawings of animals, birds and geometric figures, drawn in the desert, which can only be appreciated from the air, we will finish this adventure at approximately 15:00 pm. (Free afternoon). At the agreed time transfer to the Bus Station of Cruz del Sur to board the Bus to the City of Arequipa. The Nazca Bus leaves 22:45 Hrs., Travel time: 10 hours.

DAY 06: AREQUIPA – CITY TOUR PEATONAL & CONVENTO DE SANTA CATALINA

Breakfast at the hotel. Reception in the City of Arequipa and transfer to the Hotel. In the afternoon we will visit the city of Arequipa: The Mirador de Carmen Alto (place where you can see the Chilina Valley), Yanahuara Viewpoint, the Convent of Santa Catalina, a 17th century “small town” open to the public in 1970 after Of 400 years of cloister, transporting its visitors four centuries in the past, it will go through numerous and spacious courtyards and gardens, the kitchen and the rooms of the slaves and the stone laundries, the Main Square, where we will see the Cathedral (facade only ), the Church and Cloisters of the Society of Jesus (Dome of St. Ignatius). Return to the hotel.

DAY 07: AREQUIPA – COLCA (EXCURSION FOR 2D / 1N – TO THE CAÑON DEL COLCA)

Breakfast at the hotel. We will begin our journey on the way to Yura passing through the Chachani Skirts, Pampa Arrieros, to enter Pampa Cañahuas, where we can appreciate the slips of slender vicuñas we continue through Vizcachani, Pampas de Toccra where we will appreciate a large number of migratory birds as a place, then we will border the crater of Chucura to reach Patapampa (4,800 m.a.s.l.) we will arrive at the Andes Viewpoint or known as The Volcanoes Viewpoint where we can observe the Volcanoes of Chachani, Misti and Pichu Pichu that are those that surround the City of Arequipa , then we will descend to the Town of Chivay for Lunch (on behalf of Pax). In the afternoon free time, we suggest visiting the Thermal Baths of La Calera where we will take a refreshing bath in Medicinal Waters.

DAY 08: COLCA – PUNO

Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast very early, we will head towards the Cruz del Condor (41 km from Chivay), where we will appreciate the overflight of the Condors on masterful flights and the depth of the Canyon, then visit the villages of Pinchollo, Maca, Achoma and Yanque, we will have several stops at the main Viewpoints of Antahuilque and Choquetico, where we will appreciate Colcas, Hanging Tombs, Litho mockups and others, we will return to Chivay where we will have time for Lunch (on behalf of Pax). Then we will start our trip to the City of Puno by the same route of the first day taking the detour in Patahuasi (from this place the road is completely paved to the city of Puno). On the way you will see different Andean landscapes, such as stone forests, immense lagoons with a variety of birds, small villages in the area, the towns of Imata, Santa Lucia and the City of Juliaca. After six hours of travel at approximately 19:30 pm. We will be arriving at the Puno Terrestrial Terminal. DAY 09: PUNO – UROS FLOATING ISLANDS – TAQUILE – PUNO

Breakfast at the hotel. Very early transfer of the Hotel towards the pier or main port, to board our boat and visit the Floating Islands of Los Uros currently considered The National Reserve of Lake Titicaca, which is approximately 30 minutes away, the people of the Uros still maintain their own culture and tradition, as well as artisanal fishing, especially (CARACHI) and silverside. When fishing is abundant they keep the fish drying them in the sun. They are also dedicated to hunting wild birds and collecting duck eggs. There are 75 islands that live today, and each island is well organized. After a brief visit of 40 min. DAY: 10: PUNO – CUSCO

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the Bus Station, at 07:00 am. Departure to the City of Cusco in Tourist Bus service. We travel along the high Plateau of the Collao, stopping in the town of Ayaviri, an important textile and animal breeding center, to visit the impressive Kalasaya Temple, a culture that developed 1,600 Bc. Up to 400 Ad. In this Museum we can find Ceramics and Sculptures representative zoomorphic figures, among them the Hatunñaqac Sculpture which translated into our language means The Supreme Degollador of the ancient Pucara Culture.

Along the way we pass through The Raya which is the border between the cities of Cusco and Puno at more than 4,335 m.a.s.l. where is the famous snowy CHIMBOYA where the AMAZONAS river originates. Where tourists can take pictures of the landscape, the visit lasts from 5 to 7 minutes. Buffet Lunch in a quiet country restaurant, where you can enjoy the delicious culinary art of the region, we stop in Raqchi, where we can see a spectacular Inca Sanctuary built by the Inca Pachacuteq and dedicated to the great God Wiracocha. It has a large central wall with a stone base of fine Inca architecture. The other walls are made with giant adobe bricks. The structure also has two circular side columns. DAY 11: CUSCO – NEARBY CITY TOUR & ARCHEOLOGICAL CENTER

Breakfast at the hotel. Reception at the Bus station and transfer to the Hotel chosen by a Representative of Our Travel Agency. Pick up from the Hotel between 13:00 pm. to 13:20 p.m., to begin with the visit to the City and nearby Archaeological Centers: the tour will show us the impressive colonial city built on inkas bases; we will visit the Cathedral; Renaissance structure and fine paintings of the “Cuzco School”, Koricancha, or Temple of the Sun; known as the Royal House of the Sun of Urin Cusco. We continue with the visit to the four Archaeological Centers: Sacsayhuaman; great fortress located 5 km. from the city, Qenqo; sacred amphitheater, center of worship to the god Puma, place where human sacrifices were made, Pucapucara; red fortress due to the hue that acquires its rocks with the light of twilight and Tambomachay; temple to worship the water.

DAY 12: CUSCO – SACRED VALLEY – CUSCO

Breakfast at the hotel. Pick up from the hotel at the agreed time to make our visit to the Sacred Valley. During the tour we will visit the Town of Pisaq; picturesque colonial mestizo town, in the same way on Sundays Mass is celebrated in Quechua, then go up to the Archaeological Center of Pisaq; where we can observe the magnificent platforms of Inkas architecture, then we visit on the way the villages of Ccoya, Lamay, Calca and Urubamba. DAY 13: CUSCO – MACHU PICCHU

Breakfast at the hotel. Pick up from the hotel. Transfer to the train station in Ollantaytambo to start our trip to the Citadel of Machu Picchu, after a tour of 01:45 Hrs. by Train, a representative of our Travel Agency will be waiting for you at the Aguas Calientes Station, and then transfer them to the Bus Station, where we will take the Bus that will take us to the Lost City of the Inkas, “Machu Picchu”, rediscovered in 1911 by Hiram Bingham. We will enjoy a guided tour of the main Citadel buildings such as: El Mirador, Temple of the Three Windows, The Intihuatana, The Main Square, etc. We will return to the town of Aguas Calientes. DAY 14: CUSCO

Breakfast at the hotel. Free day, opportunity to visit the Sanctuary of Machupicchu for the second time (on behalf of the passenger). In the afternoon, we will take the Train to return to Ollantaytambo Station where a Transfer awaits you to direct you to the Bus that will bring you back to the City of Cusco.
