El malestar aparece generalmente entre <strong>6 y 10 horas<\/strong> despu\u00e9s de haber llegado a la altitud y desaparece una vez que el cuerpo se aclimata a las nuevas condiciones atmosf\u00e9ricas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Es fundamental tomar precauciones para evitar complicaciones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"%C2%BFQuien_puede_sufrirlo\"><\/span>\u00bfQui\u00e9n puede sufrirlo?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Cualquiera puede sufrir mal de altura<\/strong>, sin importar su estado f\u00edsico. Incluso atletas de alto rendimiento pueden verse afectados. Hidr\u00e1tate bien<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Algunos expertos recomiendan beber entre <strong>3 y 4 litros de agua al d\u00eda<\/strong>. La regla de oro es <strong>beber antes de tener sed<\/strong>, para evitar la deshidrataci\u00f3n, que empeora los s\u00edntomas del mal de altura.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"4_Evita_el_esfuerzo_fisico_intenso\"><\/span>4. Evita el esfuerzo f\u00edsico intenso<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Si todav\u00eda no est\u00e1s aclimatado, <strong>evita actividades extenuantes<\/strong>. Si sientes falta de aire o un aumento repentino en tu ritmo card\u00edaco durante una caminata, <strong>detente y respira profundamente<\/strong> hasta recuperarte. Escucha a tu cuerpo: <strong>en la altura es mejor prevenir que forzar<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"5_Bebe_mate_de_coca\"><\/span>5. Mastica las hojas y d\u00e9jalas reposar en la mejilla hasta que dejen de liberar ese <strong>jugo amargo<\/strong> (bastante desagradable, pero eficaz).
