It is worth highlighting the harvest festival of Ica, carried out with great consumption of wine and cachina. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In its fertile valleys cotton, vine, tobacco and flax are grown. It has important ports dedicated to the extraction of tuna, bonito and swordfish, from which canned fish and fish meal are produced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading advgb-dyn-32610ad7\" id=\"h-location\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Location\"><\/span>Location:<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It is located in the centre west of the country, bordering Lima to the north, Huancavelica and Ayacucho to the east, <a href=\"https:\/\/dreamy.tours\/en\/ica\/\">Arequipa<\/a> to the south and the Pacific Ocean to the west. With 21,327 km\u00b2 it is the sixth least extensive department &#8211; ahead of Apurimac, Tacna, Moquegua, Lambayeque and Tumbes, the least extensive &#8211; and with 33.4 inhabitants \/ km\u00b2 it is the seventh most densely populated &#8211; behind Lima, Lambayeque, La Libertad, Piura, Tumbes and Cajamarca\u2014. It was founded on January 30, 1866.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Its territory is almost entirely part of the coastal desert of Peru and forms the so-called Great Tablazo de Ica. In its coastal valleys, advanced cultures of Ancient Peru developed. It currently stands out for its extensive agro-export production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading advgb-dyn-7498a841\" id=\"h-weather-of-ica\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Weather_of_Ica\"><\/span><strong>Weather of Ica:<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>weather of <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dreamy.tours\/en\/ica\/\"><strong>Ica<\/strong> <\/a>is characterized by its temperate and desert <strong>weather of Ica<\/strong>, with an enormous concentration of humidity in the coastal zone. There are two very pronounced trends: dry and cloudy from May to November, when the temperature drops to 9 \u00b0 C in the city of Ica itself: and hot and suffocating from January to April, both in Ica and Pisco. The highest temperatures in the department can reach 32.3 \u201cC in Ica and 27 \u00b0 C in Pisco. The annual average is 20 \u00b0 C.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As in the entire middle area of \u200b\u200bour coast, rainfall in Ica is scarce and connected to the Andean region, that is, it only happens in January, February and March. You can also find air services that fly locally over\nthe Nazca Lines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Land route<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Lima &#8211; Ica: 325 km (202 miles) of tour in tourist buses along the South Pan-American Highway. The trip takes about 4 hours.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ica has two aerodromes:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Aerodrome: Located near the Hotel Las Dunas, 5 km from Ica.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mar\u00eda Reiche Aerodrome: Located at km 447 of the South Pan-American Highway (Nazca).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading advgb-dyn-437d799d\" id=\"h-distances-from-the-city-of-ica\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Distances_from_the_city_of_Ica\"><\/span>Distances from the city of Ica<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Chincha Alta (Prov. Chincha) 100 km \/ 1 hour.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Nasca (Prov. Nasca) 147 km \/ 2 hours.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Palpa (Prov. Palpa) 97 km \/ 1 hour.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pisco (Prov.
