They are located south of Lima, near the city of Pisco and the Paracas peninsula. In this peninsula you can make tours to the Ballestas Islands. However, the Ballestas Islands have the grace of marine life in out of proportion numbers. Sea lions breed there. If you are very tight on time on your route through Peru, it would even be possible to do the Paracas &#8220;musts&#8221; in one day: an excursion to the Ballestas Islands and another to the Paracas National Reserve, a coastal desert. In this reserved area, the flamenco, the white sandpiper, the fishing eagle, the pelican, the guanay or our favorite, the Peruvian booby predominate. We had the opportunity to watch the last one in action as it tried to feed from the sea.
