This is the Philodendron species that got us hooked from the beginning. The captivating, iridescent sheen on the velvety leaves is always stunning. P. verrucosum is a climbing species that requires a totem for support in order to produce full sized leaves. If given warm, humid conditions with adequate light, it grows FAST.

There's a number of different forms of verrucosum out there. Offered here is the "Mini" form from Ecuador. I'm unsure how diminutive this will actually stay as it matures; however, so far it's maintained a smaller stature than other clones in our collection. This form has impressive coloration on both sides of the leaves and given its smaller stature would probably be perfect for a terrarium.
